Serving Oregonians for more than 30 years, Community Access Services is a private nonprofit organization that provides residential, community, and employment services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live and work in our community. Our Nevada Street Home located in The Dalles typically serves 5 residents who we treat like family. The home vibe is described as "hopping" with individuals that love having fun. Our staff members are actively involved in supporting our residents as they interact in the local community.

Our organization is committed to making a difference in the lives of the people we serve. This mindset isn't just for our residents but extends to our employees as well. We work hard to foster a positive work culture that gives our team the space to grow fulfilling careers they can be proud of.

As a social services professional, you play an essential role in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home setting. You are responsible for providing the necessary support to enhance the quality of life for the individuals we serve while following specified individual service plans (ISP). You interact respectfully with each person and promote their own individual freedom and choices. By providing support, you help them maintain their personal property as well as promote new activities, socialization, and community engagement.

In addition, you interact with other staff members and supervisors as well as provide additional support wherever it's needed. Each day you come to the group home, you make sure you're aware of any new programmatic concerns or status issues for the individuals you work with. You stay informed of our emergency protocols in case of a crisis as well as ensure that the facility remains clean and all supplies are organized. Safety is of the utmost importance, and you make sure that the well-being of the individual you work with is always a priority. You enjoy having a job that offers such meaningful work, and this is why you love your position in social services with our group home!

At least 18 years old
Reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to pass a background check upon hire
