This entry-level caregiving position earns a competitive wage of $12/hour. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DAILY LIVING SKILLS DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL / CAREGIVER

As an entry-level Daily Living Skills Direct Support Professional / Caregiver, you support people with developmental disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible. You provide this caregiving service as part of our Daily Living Skills program. With enthusiasm, you provide for the personal care needs of those enrolled in our services. You carefully administer medication to clients on a routine or as-needed basis. Using effective teaching and mentoring techniques, you help our clients with setting and achieving goals. As necessary, you perform housekeeping duties to ensure a clean facility and sanitary equipment.

Conscientiously, you keep accurate and up-to-date documentation as well as promptly report any concerns about health or safety. In crisis situations, you are quick to intervene. You are a team player and are quick to offer support to your fellow staff members. You assist in maintaining operational and financial records for our clients and administer assessments as directed. Following the program schedule, you provide active treatment and execute the curriculum program. Helping individuals with developmental disabilities to lead self-fulfilling lives feels good, which is why you're perfect in this caregiving role!



QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DAILY LIVING SKILLS DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL / CAREGIVER

18+ years of age
Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and TB test upon hire
A heart for serving individuals with disabilities
