Copywriter

Description

The Copywriter is an essential member of the Marketing Team. The members of the Marketing team work closely together. They are involved in the communication and marketing efforts for each division of Opportunity Enterprises. This position plans, creates, edits, and updates a wide variety of creative copy in support of communication, marketing, and advertising for the organization.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, draft, and review agency content. This includes copy for print and electronic pieces, including but not limited to, websites, posters, flyers, rack cards, newsletters, postcards, signage, e-mail campaigns, etc.
Manage creative request workflow by prioritizing projects, collaborating with a team, managing cross-departmental routing of copy for approvals, enforcing request standards, and managing timelines.
Conduct research for developing content used for various communication and sales vehicles.
Write and submit content for monthly e-newsletters targeting donors, families, and employees.
Visit programs of OE, develop relationships with staff, and collect agency success stories. Collaborate with the Marketing Team to include stories in marketing and advertising materials.
Create and distribute internal flyers.
Create messaging and change the company marquee when needed.
Draft agency press releases.
Offer support to every OE division. Support may include tasks such as planning, purchasing, and organizing materials, assisting during events, and maintaining relationships.
Create, edit, and update copy for all company websites.
Create, edit, and update copy for PowerPoint presentations for a variety of departments and personnel.
Manage MailChimp account.
Assist in managing and updating all departments' public-facing marketing assets and collateral.
All other duties as requested by the Chief Development and Communications Officer and Marketing Director
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3 years of experience in communications, advertising, publications, or a related field is required.
